ALACOR RECYCLES

WASTE REDEFINITION PROGRAM SEPTEMBER 2019
On 15 July 2019, the Open Door Plant began a waste redefinition program to deal with their
plant-generated waste, and the goals were:
* To reduce the environmental impact.
* To reduce waste transportation and disposal costs.
*To comply with the requirements set forth by SMETA (social responsibility) implemented in
our plant.
The first step was to create an alliance with USINA ECO, a recycling cooperative located in Luján,
approved by Luján's town hall, and which is in its way to obtain the Province of Buenos Aires
certification.
In 45 days -half of July and all August-, we redefined 2,600 kg of materials, which used to be sent
to landfills, with all their cost implications.
We made that first step and now we are taking a second step, which is to raise awareness of the
program importance and to make all ALACOR S.A.'s partners participate in this initiative.
